Seated At The Table

I have a seat at the table.

You have a seat at the table.

The drug dealer down the street, He has a seat at the table.

The prostitute on the main drag of downtown, they also has a seat at the table.

The man who just snapped at you because He had a bad day at work, He has a seat at the table.

Do you get where I am going with this?

Do you know the table you’re invited to sit at?

Do you know you’re invited to sit at the table with the highest of Kings?

The creator of the universe has a seat reserved just for you and I.

You didn’t earn it. I didn’t earn it. We don’t deserve it, but He offers us this seat.

He offers us this seat not so we can be His servants, but so we can be His Friends.

We are carried to a table, seated where We don’t belong.

And None of us are worthy to sit at the table.

But The Father invites us into a place, where we can just be with Him.

No strings attached. It’s our choice, and we can leave whenever we would like.

We can leave. We can stay. It is all up to us to decide.

But do you know the most beautiful thing about the table?

The invitation never leaves. It remains faithful. It remains everlasting. It stays true. It doesn’t have an expiration date. It is an everlasting invitation.

We all have a seat at the table with the Father. But it is our choice to respond. He sends the invitation, it’s up to us to respond with how we would like.

He won’t force you to show up, He is a gentleman.

But when you decide you want to show up, He will gladly open the door for you with arms wide open.

We may be seated where we don’t belong, but We find out what true love really is when we take our seats. And that is when we figure out where we truly belong.

We don’t see our brokenness, our shame, our regrets.

We see hope, and trust, and true love.

And This is a table I never want to leave.
